Alexandra Wayllace, PhD

Alexandra Wayllace, PhD is a Teaching Associate Professor at the Colorado School of Mines where she teaches geotechnical classes such as Soil Mechanics and Foundation Design.

Her expertise is advancing the understanding of the behavior of unsaturated soils, particularly focusing on their hydrological and mechanical properties. She collaborates with the joint CSM/USGS research group in problems related to fluid flow through unsaturated soils, shear strength, and infiltration-induced landslides.
