New York State Education Department pre-approves providers of continuing education courses and educational activities, but not specific courses or activities.
Recognized and Non-Recognized Educational Content
Recognized Topics:
Geologic, environmental or engineering-based topics or other matters of law and/or ethics which contribute to the professional practice in engineering and the health, safety, and/or welfare of the public; and other topics which contribute to the professional practice of engineering.
Midwest GeoSciences Group offers each of these topics, including online ethics training.
Non-Recognized Topics:
Project management, business management, leadership development, self-help, and personal management skills and development are not recognized for continuing education in New York State.

Course Completion Certificates
Midwest GeoSciences Group provides a Certificate of Completion to each and every participant who satisfies the completion requirements.
The information on each course or educational activity should be retained in your records for six years from the date of completion. MidwestGeo meets this requirement by providing you with a Certificate upon successful completion of a course or webinar.
Additionally, your certificates of completion are securely maintained by MidwestGeo for a minimum of ten years and can be accessed online at any time through your login account.
