Chanone Ryane is recognized for her research on deciphering glacial ice sheets by assessing volcanic sediments located in northern British Columbia. Chanone's research involves studying Pleistocene glacier-volcano interactions in the Tuya-Kawdy volcanic field in northern B.C.
Chanone received her BS and MSc from the University of Calgary and is currently working her PhD at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. J K. Russell (UBC) and Dr. B.R. Edwards (Dickinson College, Pennsylvania)
